Oxford City and Braintree Town must do battle again at the IronmongeryDirect Stadium as their Good Friday match was abandoned on 30 minutes due to the deteriorating weather conditions causing the pitch to become unplayable.
The 30 minutes that were played saw an even game with both sides earning themselves a half chance each, however the ever-worsening conditions saw it become near impossible to play the further the clock ticked on.
It was Braintree who had the opportunity first, Luke Allen getting into a good shooting position, however his shot was tame and straight into the arms of Craig King.
The first signs of an abandonment came in the 25th minute as referee Ian Fissenden spoke to both captains and the two managers, however the match carried on.
The 28th minute saw Rob Sinclair burst forwards and win a free kick on the edge of the box. The set piece was taken quickly before it was scooped to Eddie Jones, however Diaz Wright slid in brilliantly to clear the danger.
Ian Fissenden had seen enough just two minutes later as a through pass got caught up in a puddle, the official quickly calling off the game, drawing few complaints from anyone in the stadium.
The match will be replayed at a later date, which will be announced as soon as confirmed.
