Oxford City weathered a tense five minutes of stoppage time to run away 1-0 winners, ensuring their progress to the 1st Round Proper of the FA Cup at at the expense of Bognor Regis Town.
Bognor's Jimmy Muitt had the first clear chance of the game, blazing over from 12 yards, before Ezra Forde forced a good save from Dan Lincoln.
A quick throw-in put the Bognor defence on the back foot, but Godfrey Poku's mis-hit effort didnt threaten the goal.
The Hoops' pressure finally paid of in the 32nd minute as they won the ball from Calvin Davies, Dave Pearce picking out Matt Paterson in the box to finish sweetly on the volley.
Muitt then shot wide for The Rocks before City's Paterson missed a penalty on the stroke of half time.
Lincoln produced a fine double save early in the second period to keep the deficit down to one.
Muitt once again shot wide when well placed before Lee Henderson cleared a dangerous square ball.
Davies saw red for a second booking in the 77th minute.
Reeve Fleet was the stoppage time here, clearing off of the line amid a goalmouth scramble.
