Oxford City are delighted to be able to announce the formation of a new Under-23s team for the 2019/20 season. The team has been created to try and help bridge the gap between our U19s team and the First Team and will help players develop further before making the step up.
The team will compete in the Suburban Premier Division, and will come up against familiar names in Aldershot Town, Sutton United, Woking and the Metropolitan Police.
The club would like to invite new players to trial for this side, the first session will be held on Tuesday 2nd July at 7:30pm, run by manager Darren Edgar and coach Edward Jackson-Sankey.
First Team Manager Mark Jones is pleased with the youth setup at the club next season:
“It’s going to be a good programme for young players at the club. We want to try and get good youngsters in the system, and these two new leagues that the U19s and U23s will be competing in will help the young players at the club develop”
