Oxford City have confirmed their first four pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The first two fixtures will be at home, while the second two fixtures will be away.
Further fixtures will be announced in due course.
The first confirmed fixture will see City take on near neighbours Oxford United at Marsh Lane on Saturday 14th July, a 12:30 kick-off. This fixture is a repeat of the match that opened the newly refurbished Marsh Lane last season, a record stadium gate of 2,276 seeing the League One outfit triumph 3-0 over City. Ticket information will be announced in due course.
This match will in fact be the U's first of two games scheduled on the same day. Following their match at City, they make a trip down the M40 to the Hoops' league rivals Hampton & Richmond Borough in a 4pm kick-off.
The Hoops will then play a second EFL League One side just three days later as Luton Town visit Marsh Lane. The two clubs have struck an excellent relationship over the past two seasons, City's squad boasting a number of ex-Hatters. Last season saw Godfrey Poku, Ezra Forde and Craig King all line up for the Hoops with past spells with Luton on their CV's, with Frankie Musonda and Kavan Cotter also joining the the Hoops on loan. Mark Jones' assistant Joe Deeney also spent several years at Luton in both coaching and player roles! Kick-off on Tuesday 17th July is at 19:45.
A quick run of fixtures sees City host a third match in seven days as they welcome Chesham United to Marsh Lane on Saturday 21st July, a 3pm kick-off. The sides last met in a pre-season fixture in the lead up to the 2016/17 season in a neutral venue at Amersham Town.
A midweek fixture following the match against Chesham will see City head down to the ASM Stadium to face Thame United on Tuesday 24th July. The Hoops have had success at the ASM Stadium of late as they won the Oxfordshire Senior Cup at the ground a couple of weeks ago, their first for 15 years.
Pre-season will be rounded off with a final friendly against old rivals Brackley Town. This fixture has become much of a feature during pre-seasons of late, this being the third consecutive season they'll meet. The fixture returns to Brackley's St James' Park this season after a meeting at Marsh Lane last season. Kick-off will be at 3pm.
Once the remaining fixtures are confirmed, we'll let you know!
