An 85th minute goal was enough to see Oxford City fall to defeat against local rivals Banbury United at Marsh Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The game saw familiar faces lining up against their former sides, Zac McEachran starting for City, whilst Tom Winters, Conor McDonagh and Jefferson Louis all lined up for the visitors.
The Southern League outfit started well, and in the 5th minute should have taken the lead, the ball being played across goal for a tap in, however Onokwai could only poke wide of the post.
City then settled more into the game, and had their first shot of note on 16 minutes, Horatio Hirst playing the ball to Matt Paterson on the penalty spot, however his effort was well blocked in front of the keeper. The sides shared a couple more efforts on goal, however it remained 0-0 at the break.
The Hoops had the first chance of the second half on 55 minutes, Hirst and Paterson combining again, however the latter's shot was again blocked in front of the keeper.
It was Banbury that eventually broke the deadlock on 85 minutes, a corner was headed to the edge of the box where Withington was waiting, who then smashed into the roof of the net.
City are next in action away at Didcot Town on Tuesday evening kick-off at 19:45 at the Loop Meadow Stadium.
