Oxford City moved just four points away from mathematical safety as they overcame Eastbourne Borough 2-1 at Marsh Lane.
An own-goal from Matt Pickering gave the Hoops the lead on 52 minutes after Sam Nombe crossed towards Rob Sinclair, before Matt Paterson added a second from the spot just four minutes later after Reece Fleet was fouled by Sergio Torres.
Yemi Odubade got one back for Eastbourne in the 86th minute, however the Hoops were able to hold one to record an important win.

Oxford City Nomads successfully navigated to the next round of the Bluefin Sport Supplementary Cup as they beat Bicester Town 4-1 at the Playing Fields in Ardley.
Matty Brown headed the Nomads into a 6th minute lead, however the hosts equalised in the fifth added on minute at the end of the first half through a Declan Peart own goal.
The Nomads completed the win in the second half however as Ahmed Farah put them back into the lead in the 68th minute before Dan Collins picked up a brace in the last 5 minutes to ensure of their progression through to the next round.
