Oxford City boss Mark Jones has been impressed by his side's improvement over the last few weeks, however he knows there is a tough task at hand this weekend as his side travel to Chelmsford City. The full preview can be found by clicking here.
"We’re looking forward to going to Chelmsford. We’re going there on the back of a few wins in the league, so we want to keep that going.
It’s not going to be an easy task at all, Chelmsford are in the play-off positions, and have been very consistent this season, with an experienced manager at this level."
After picking up just a single point in January and February combined, he is happy how his side have responded and picked up their form this month:
"We’re going to keep working on the shape which I think has been very good over the past three games. We’re going to keep playing off that shape and see what we can do.
There have been plenty of positive signs over the past few games. The players have been working hard and we need to keep that going, and that’s a really important thing.
At every level, if you don’t apply yourself and give it you maximum every week, you’re going to find it difficult.
The attitude and mindset of the players is very important, and I’ve been impressed with that over the past couple of weeks, and we’ve got to keep that going."
The squad remains largely unchanged, however City's boss does provide news of one loanee who has returned to his parent club this week:
"Albie Hopkins has been recalled by Oxford United, but otherwise we’ll be selecting from the same squad as last week. There might be an opportunity to bring a few of the young players who have been out on loan back to supplement the squad in the remaining weeks."
