There’s a nice symmetry about our latest sponsor as the Bennett Family become Fan Sponsors of Alfie Potter.

This season we are offering up to two sponsorships per player and with Fortitude Communications continuing their support as Alfie’s Business Sponsors there was the perfect opportunity for the Bennett family to get involved, as dad Joe told us

“My business, Avalon Pool Cover Services, were Alfie’s sponsors when he joined Oxford United many years ago and he has always been a favourite for us: I suspect he is a favourite for a lot of football supporters in Oxford! His old United shirt has pride of place at home.

“My son Kieran is among the new players starting with Velocity this season where they will combine their studies with playing football at the MGroup Stadium and we came along and watched a couple of games, saw how well Alfie is still playing, and wanted to get involved. Alfie was so excited he immediately got suspended for three games!

“But he’ll be back and we’ll be there to watch him in what we hope will be a really successful season for the club, especially on the back of Tuesday night’s performance.”
