Aliyah Anthony Named As Oxford City Women's Manager Until End Of The Season

April 3, 2026

Our Head of Female Football previews a big weekend of action at the club.

There will be a familiar face in the dugout on Sunday when Oxford City Women welcome Winchester City Flyers to the MGroup Stadium.

Aliyah Anthony has been one of the driving forces behind the growth of women and girls’ football at Oxford City and we are delighted to announce that Aliyah will lead the Women’s First Team until the end of the season, working alongside Lyon Theoharous who will become Assistant Manager.

Both will continue to work with the female teams that are prospering at the club.

Aliyah told us: “It will be a proud moment for me to take charge on Sunday.

"Lyon has worked really hard all season with the First Team and it’s just a case of building on what we have all built here, not just with those players but with the whole pathway for female footballers.

“So many of the players have come through the Velocity programme and we have a young side with so much promise.

"It’s a big responsibility to be asked to lend my experience to help those players continue their development. It’s really exciting.

“The aim is to finish the season strongly, starting with a win on Sunday.”

Looking for a great Easter Sunday afternoon out? Come and get behind Aliyah and the team as we take on Winchester.

Kick off is at 2pm and there will be plenty of fun activities all around the ground.
