Oxford City Football Club can confirm that Defender Billie Bough-French has extended her stay at The MGroup Stadium, signing on for another year.

Bough-French joined the Velocity Football Programme when she was 16, and is delighted to remain at City for the upcoming season.

The defensive talent joined the Hoops from Abingdon United having moved there from Oxford United.

The youngster was a highly rated player during her time at Oxford United and has continued to impress during her spell with City.

As a versatile player, Billie can play in multiple positions and often moves further forward to dominate the game in the middle of the pitch.

She said: "I think Oxford City is the perfect opportunity to show what I can do and what I can bring to the crowd and win us promotion.

"The love of our supporters and seeing the signs and what goes on behind the scenes, show that we can have a good gameday and that's why I want to be here."

"As a team now, we're more solid than ever, we have a brand new manager, which means a different pre season, different sessions and a different aura, and that's what we need, especially as a side that wants to win promotion."

Manager Lyon Theoharous said: "I'm so pleased to have Billie on board and her experience and guidance will be invaluable.

"Billie works with our youth teams and it proves how much of a role model she wants to be for the next generation of Hoops”

Billie will be in action on Saturday at the MGroup Stadium as the Hoops kick-off pre-season against Oxford United.
