Danny Wise To Play In Chris Potter/Joey Beauchamp Charity Match
FA Cup record holder confirmed for July match for charity.
Ex-City Striker Danny Wise will be lacing up his boots again at the MGroup Stadium this July (Sunday 6th July), as he'll take to the pitch in the name of charity.
Danny, who also played for Abingdon Town in his playing career, is an FA Cup record holder, after becoming the first player to score an incredible five goals after coming on as a substitute back in 2000.
Wise's stunning scoring spree came during City's thumping 10-1 win at Shoreham, after he entered the fray in the 16th minute of the preliminary round tie.
Danny now owns IRIS VBS Fire and Security Solutions, who have been huge supporters of the club, as well as sponsoring the shorts of both the Men and Women’s First Teams this season.
Danny joins two more ex-Oxford City players in Garry Parker and Alan Foster in playing in July's Chris Potter/Joey Beauchamp charity match.
The match is being staged in memory of two of Oxfordshire's footballing greats who we lost too soon, and the event aims to raise vital funds for three charities, including The Joey Beauchamp Foundation, SeeSaw and the Abingdon Bridge.
Tickets for the match are on sale online now, and you can get your tickets by clicking HERE.
All of the money raised will be split between the three charities, and there is also a raffle & entertainment on the day.
