Oxford City secured the signing Mitchell Roberts after the versatile defender left Championship side Birmingham City in the summer. Roberts, who can play as a central defender or as a left-back, came through the ranks with the Blues after signing at the age of ten. He went on to become one of the brightest talents at the midlands club and made two first-team appearances (one in the Championship and one in the EFL Cup). He spent time on loan in League Two with Harrogate Town & Carlisle United in the 21/22 season, and he had further loan spells with Oldham Athletic and Solihull Moors in the National League last season.
