Jalen Jones nets for Guyana

October 16, 2024

Bittersweet night for Jalen.

Jalen Jones scored his first international goal for Guyana over the October International break as the Golden Jaguars were beaten 5-1 against Suriname in the CONCACAF Nations League.

It was a bittersweet night for Jones, as despite his goal, the Guyana's defeat means that they will be relegated from their Nations League group.

Jones featured in every minute for Guyana over the October international break in defeats to Guatemala (1-3) & Suriname.

City Goalkeeper Kai McKenzie-Lyle was named as an unnamed substitute for Guyana in both matches.

Both will now link back up with the Oxford City squad ahead of our Vanarama National League North fixture away at Warrington Town.
