Bloomin' brilliant!

Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young prospect Keegan Bloom as City squad continues to go from strength to strength.

The budding full back joins The Hoops having claimed the accolade of Supporters' Player of the Season at Banbury United in Step 3 last season.

This will be Bloom's first season in Step 2, but having come through the pyramid without an academy, Keegan is more than used to steeping up to the level required.

The 23-year-old began at Harrow Borough and captained their U23 side before dropping down to play for North Greenford. It has been a remarkable career to get to this point and Keegan is far from finished.

"I'm really excited to be here. I've enjoyed it so far and I've got a great relationship with the gaffer so I'm very happy." Keegan told us.

"It's a surreal feeling. I've always to be a professional and maintain that lifestyle. But now it's my job, it's a surreal feeling.

"Every league has its difficulties and it's a different experience every time. Playing in different leagues, last year was very physical, so I think I'm well equipped coming into this year.

"The aim for everyone is to win football matches and get promoted. I think that is where Oxford City deserve to be. We will be working hard towards that.

"The fans can expect me working hard and putting my body on the line."

Bloom joined Welling United in 2025/26 and played a major role in the Lee Martin rebuild at The Wings.

Prior to that, he was awarded the Harrow Borough Player of the Season having rejoined the club from Aylesbury United.

Keegan them made the jump again to Banbury United and performed exceptionally, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

Oxford City Manager Ross Jenkins said: "Adding Keegan to our ranks has been very exciting, a player who excelled at Banbury last season, playing a whole season and playing very well.

"I watched Keegan live a few times and he showed us he's got a superb engine and speed to join in attacks and defend 1v1.

"He's a very proactive player with the hunger to perform and do well, so we're all very excited to work with Keegz this season."
