Lewis Coyle To Depart Oxford City At The End Of The Season

April 17, 2025

Midfielder to depart after conclusion of 2024/25 season.

Oxford City can confirm that Lewis Coyle will leave the club after the 2024/25 season, after a five-year spell with the Hoops.

‘Coyley’ as he’s more commonly known around the MGroup Stadium, joined City in 2020 from Thatcham Town and has played a big role in the club’s most successful period in recent years, racking up 200 games for the Hoops in the process.

Manager Ross Jenkins said: “Coyley has been a fantastic servant to the club, and achieving over 200 games for anyone is a magnificent achievement.

“He’s played in pretty much every position on the pitch for us and he’s been an even better character in the squad off the field.”

It goes without saying that Lewis will always be welcome at the MGroup Stadium, and we wish him and his family the very best after the season concludes.

Thanks for everything, Coyley!
