MARCIN BRZOZOWSKI SIGNS FOR OXFORD CITY

Jul 28, 2023

Goalkeeper added to the squad for 23/24.

Oxford City FC are pleased to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Marcin Brzozowski.

Appearing for the Hoops throughout pre-season as a trialist, the 6ft 4in shot-stopper has impressed Manager Ross Jenkins and will now become a permanent member of the squad.

Brzozowski (whose name is pronounced BRR-JOI-SKI), was born in Poland before moving to the UK aged 10.

He was quickly snapped up by QPR and went on to stay with the R's until 2021, training and appearing on the bench with the first team in the process.

Marcin has also represented Poland at Under 18 and Under 19 level. After leaving Loftus Road, Marcin had brief spells at Torquay United, Hendon and Hartley Wintney, but now makes the jump back to the National League for the 23/24 campaign.

Speaking after signing terms with the club, Marcin said:

"I'm really looking forward to the season. I'm feeling really good, and it feels great to be on board with the club.

"I came in on the first day of pre-season and everyone's been really welcoming. I've really enjoyed it and the lads here have made it easy for me to fit into the group.

"Last season, I set myself a target to get back into the National League and I'm really happy to achieve that with this club."

Manager Ross Jenkins added: "Marcin is a great lad and he's got footballing pedigree. He's come through the ranks at QPR and played for Poland's underage teams.

"I'm excited to see more of him and I'm hoping he can really kick-on again with us. He's got all the tools to do well, and he's been really good with the group and become part of the team quickly."
