Oxford City Women continue their pre season preparations for the Southern Region Women's Football League with a trip to Harpenden Town (Sunday, 2 pm Kick Off).
Ellie White's brace against a strong Newport Pagnell side was enough to put the Hoops up at the interval but a second half comeback from Newport resulted in a 3-2 loss for City.
Recently-promoted Harpenden Town are coming off the back of a stellar season with a league trophy and an appearance in the FA Cup proper. It will be another stern test for this revamped Oxford City side.

With 34 goals in 23 appearances last year for Harpenden, Amanor led the scoring charts for the Eastern Region Women's Football League Division One North.
Her goals were pivotal in cup runs as well—including a sensational FA Cup second-qualifying-round performance, where she scored four goals in a 6‑2 win over Toby and added another in their emphatic 8‑0 victory over Brantham Athletic.
Her pace in behind the defence will be a crucial element of the Harpenden attack and something that City will have to keep a close eye on.
THE MANAGER - Jordan Williams
Jordan Williams joined Harpenden Town Women as First Team Manager, overseeing their successful campaign into the Eastern Region Women’s League Premier Division.
Under Williams’s management, Harpenden Town Women clinched the Division One North title in 2023–24, sealed promotion, and made it to the first round proper of the FA Women’s Cup, a fantastic season by all metrics.
Alongside his leadership at Harpenden, he works as a Deputy Head Teacher at Batchwood School, bringing over 15 years of football coaching experience to his role.
