Meet Saturday's Match Sponsors - Ignite Training

October 2, 2025

Ignite Training are backing the Hoops this weekend.

Saturday’s home game against Curzon Ashton will see Ignite Training as our match sponsors with staff and business partners filling the brand new Velocity Suite at the MGroup Stadium to see City take on Curzon Ashton in the National League North.

Ignite Sport was set up in 1999 by City Owner Justin Merritt with the aim of inspiring people with sport, activity, and wellbeing, and to help create a sense of achievement for participants of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

Quarter of a century later Ignite continue to go from strength to strength as Justin told us:

“It started from quite humble beginnings with me starting out on my coaching journey at a relatively young age and still playing as well as starting the business.

"Everything expanded from there with me becoming Oxford City Manager then Owner and Ignite becoming national providers of training, education and apprenticeships

“I am so proud of what I see at the MGroup Stadium every day- there is always someone coaching or playing out on the pitches and now we have the new classroom building where people are studying and teaching alongside that.

“That building also offers the club options for innovation, community events and amazing hospitality options so Saturday is a chance to bring all of that together and for Ignite and Oxford City to get together and hopefully have a fantastic day watching the team get a win for us.”

Come and join us to see Oxford City welcome Curzon Ashton. Tickets are available HERE
