Versatile defender joins the Hoops.

Oxford City FC is delighted to announce the signing of versatile defender Mitchell Roberts.

Roberts, who can play both as a left-back or a centre-half, signs as a free agent after leaving Birmingham City in the summer.

The defender signed on at St Andrews at the age of ten and went on to progress through the youth ranks and emerged as one of the club's most promising youngsters.

He signed a professional contract with the Blues in 2020 going on to make two appearances in for the midlands club in the EFL Cup and the Sky Bet Championship.

Either side of his two first team appearances he spent time on loan with Harrogate Town and Carlisle United in Sky Bet League Two.

Last season, the defender spent time on loan with Oldham Athletic and Solihull Moors in the National League.
