LATRELL HUMPHREY-EWERS SIGNS NEW DEAL WITH OXFORD CITY

Oxford City FC is delighted to announce that Latrell Humphrey-Ewers has signed a new deal with the club ahead of the 2023/24 season.

In a major boost for the Hoops, Humphrey-Ewers has signed a new deal with City after a breakthrough season in the first team.

As the season progressed, Humphrey-Ewers became more prominent as the season went on. The midfielder spent a brief loan spell with step 3 side North Leigh before returning to the RAW Charging Stadium and playing a key role in our promotion.

The midfielder scored his first goal for the club with a thumping volley in the 5-1 victory away at Dover Athletic, grabbing the equaliser which changed the course of the game.

The ex-England U16's star also played the majority of the Promotion Final, replacing the injured Alfie Potter and assisted City's fourth goal of the game, setting up Josh Parker with a flicked header.

Speaking after signing his new deal with the club, Humphrey-Ewers said: “After watching the boys from the stands in the play off semi-final last year, to being involved in Oxford City’s best campaign in history is just incredible.

"Now we’ve gone up into the National League, we don’t want to just make up the numbers and as a squad we will definitely attack the season.

"On a personal note, I’m very happy to sign my first contract with Oxford City and it shows I’ve made the right improvements along the way to be in the position I’m at."
