The lowdown on the Kidderminster fixture.

Oxford City travel to Kidderminster on Tuesday in the Enterprise National League North ahead of the first midweek game of the season, 7:45pm kick off.


The Hoops are coming off the back of the first win of the season as Josh Parker and Alfie Potter steered the side to a 2-1 win over Macclesfield.


Kidderminster boast a strong record in this fixture with two wins and two draws in the last four games. The Harriers have outscored The Hoops 10-5 over the same period. A Jalen Jones last minute header secured a point for City the last time the sides met.


Oxford City Manager Ross Jenkins said: "Our form away from home was pretty good last season, our home form was a little indifferent so it was nice to get the win in front of a good crowd.


"It's really important we keep this momentum going in midweek and lay a marker down for everyone else."

ONE TO WATCH - David Davis


Davis brings bags of experience to this Kidderminster side. The 34-year-old veteran has nearly 400 appearances in the EFL. and Premier League after stints with Wolves and Birmingham City.


Davis joined Blues in 2014 and made the better part of 200 appearances there as an influential member of the side and a firm favourite with fans, before going on to feature for Shrewsbury Town.   


Davis was a stalwart at the back for the Harriers last season and has continued to contribute to the same as his third minute goal on the weekend against Worksop earned them a point.

THE MANAGER - Adam Murray


The new man in charge of the Harriers is an experienced 43-year-old who has accumulated over 500 senior appearances over 17 years in every league from the Premier League to Non-League.


He spent two stints at Kidderminster during his playing days, first on loan there from Derby and then a permanent move to see out the end of the 2003/04 season. He also played 88 games for Oxford United and was club captain for many of them.


His coaching career began with Mansfield Town and he became the youngest manager in the top four divisions when he took over. His experience as a manager is extensive in the National League North. Following his depature at Mansfield, Murray took over at Boston United, guiding them to a 15th place finish.


Murray was also in charge at AFC Fylde in the National League North, steering them to the title before moving to Eastbourne Borough where was remained before moving to Kidderminster at the end of last season.
