The Ladies First Team extended their unbeaten run to 11 games after beating Marlow Ladies on Sunday, Marlow who were until now unbeaten all season were lucky not to be one down after 40 seconds with great work down the left from Rachel Mariam who found April England but by inches poked the ball wide, City continued to dominate with Mariam again causing Marlow's full backs many issues, The ladies were kicking themselves to come in at half time all square.
Second half started much like the First with City not allowing Marlow anytime to play, when finally in the 68th minute fantastic work from Rachel Mariam found Melissa Farrow unmarked who smartly finished. City continued the onslaught but then out of the blue City conceded a sloppy penalty, Marlow's first attempt on goal from the spot levelled the game 1-1. It wasn't long until the lead was back when a clever header from Nicole Miles fell to forward April England and with still plenty of work to do England smartly converted for her 6th of the campaign since signing from Kidlington.
The First Team now sit 6 points clear at the top of the Southern Region Premier but face second place Basingstoke Town this Sunday at Court Place Farm 2pm Kick off.
The Ladies Nomads had similar joy as they avenged last months loss to Headington Ladies with a 5-3 win at Harcourt Hill Campus, Goals from Katie Wadey, Kiera Isaac, Alex Baker and a brace from Danielle Anderson moves the Nomads up to Second in the Thames Valley Division One.
