Oxford City have been awarded yet another home draw in their 2019/20 Emirates FA Cup campaign as Isthmian Premier side Margate will make the trip up to Oxfordshire in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the competition.
Despite a division gap, the two sides are far from unfamiliar opponents, as they were National League South rivals for two seasons in 2015/16 and 2016/17. The Hoops held the upper hand in the four clashes during these two seasons, as they won three (2-0, 5-0, 1-0) while the other ended in a 1-1 draw.
Of course, City have reached this stage of the competition thanks to a 7-0 win over local rivals North Leigh in the Second Qualifying Round, before dispatching league rivals Hampton & Richmond Borough 2-0 in the Third Qualifying Round.
Margate, meanwhile, have had to navigate one further round. Entering in the First Qualifying Round, they edged past Southern Combination side Horsham YMCA 2-1, before coming out 3-1 winners over National League South Concord Rangers, and then finally a 4-2 victory away at Southern League Salisbury on Saturday in the Fourth Qualifying Round.
The fixture will be played at Marsh Lane on Saturday 19th October, with a 3pm kick-off.
