MK Dons and Oxford City Draw Behind Closed Doors


Oxford City faced their second test against League One opposition in four days on Friday afternoon as they faced up to an MK Dons behind closed doors at Bisham Abbey.

Despite the different opposition, the game began in identical circumstances to Tuesday's 5-3 defeat against Oxford United - the Hoops taking just two minutes to take the lead, however it was captain Joe Oastler who was in the right place to smash home from a corner.

City were to go on to double their lead just 10 minutes after - Nana Owusu scoring his first goal for the club from the penalty spot after Stefan Brown was felled in the box.

On 20 minutes, MK Dons got one back through Hiram Boateng with a curling finish into the bottom corner, however had to wait until the 87th minute to find an equaliser, as a familar face in Sam Nombe finished from close range.
