We are delighted to announce that Zac McEachran has signed on for the 2019/20 campaign.
The midfielder has been a key member of Mark Jones’ squad since joining from Banbury United at the start of the 2017/18 campaign and he brought up 100 appearances for the club earlier in the campaign, over two spells.
Last season was a tough one for him, having missed a significant chunk through injury, however this didn’t stop him scoring 11 goals in 35 appearances, including an FA Cup hat-trick.
His return to the side for the last few games of the season was visibly a boost as he put in match changing performances against Dartford, and later Banbury United, which saw City retain the trophy for the second consecutive year.
He joins Craig King and Reece Fleet as players who have committed to next season, however there will be further updates on this during the week.
Mark Jones was thrilled to be able to secure Zac’s signature for another season:
“I’m delighted that Zac has agreed to stay with us for another season. It was a frustrating one for him and us last year. With him missing a large proportion of the season through injury, we’re confident at the club now that he’s fine, and we’re looking forward to Zac having a good period with us next year.
We see him as a very important player. His ability and creativity is up there with the best at our level, and to have a player like that is very important to the way that we play.”
