Silva Linings.

Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of highly rated winger Dillon De Silva ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Sri Lankan international makes the move to The MGroup Stadium after a loan spell at Maidenhead United.

The 24-year-old began his career coming through the Tottenham Hotspur academy, before moving to Queens Park Rangers at the young age of 16.

Despite his young age, De Silva managed to make the bench on a number of occasions and signed his first professional deal with the club in 2022.

Born in England, De Silva plays his international football for Sri Lanka. In May 2021, he received his first call up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Lebanon and South Korea. Dillon made his debut in a 3-2 defeat to Lebanon.

Upon signing for Oxford, Dillon said: "I'm delighted to get it over the line and I'm looking forward to the season ahead.

"Having played in the National League and National League South, I'm expecting a more physical game. Playing some more Northern teams, you get stuck into the battles and I'm looking forward to it.

"Once I had spoken to the gaffer it was a no brainer for me. It's a nice place and there are good people so it was an easy decision.

"I wanted to see what [Ross's} plans were for me and for the team and it felt like it really aligned so I'm super happy."

The winger's first loan move out of QPR was to Torquay United and he made the move permanent during the 2023/24 season, making 20 appearances for The. Gulls.

De Silva then got his first taste of Oxford City as he lined-up against The Hoops during his time at Wealdstone in the National League.

Then it was a move to Sutton United in the National League, a loan move to Tamworth, a loan move to Dagenham & Redbridge and a loan move to Maidenhead United before ending up in Oxford.

Oxford City Manager Ross Jenkins said: "Dillon comes in with a lot of experience for his age.

"Progressing through the ranks at Queens Park Rangers and playing National League South and National League football, he's someone who will be very exciting and positive for us and we know he will always try and create chances and goals for the team.

"As a staff we are incredibly excited to have Dillon in the building. and he's settled into the group really quickly."
