Hoops secure winger's signature.

Oxford City are pleased to announce the signing of versatile forward Claudio Ofosu.

The tricky forward joins the Hoops after leaving Hungerford Town last season, and goes straight into Ross Jenkins' starting XI for tonight's fixture against Wealdstone.

Ofosu has youth experience at Stevenage and enjoyed subsequent loan spells at Mildenhall Town and Kings Langley in 2018.

He moved permanently from Stevenage to St Neots Town but soon joined Biggleswade Town.

He then joined Royston Town and his good form caught the eye of Hartlepool United (and their then-manager David Challinor), and the Poolies won the race for his signature in 2020.

He went on to make 12 appearances for Hartlepool as the team went on to win promotion back to the EFL, scoring once in a 4-0 victory over Maidenhead.

He then moved to Kettering, scoring once in a 1-0 win over Bradford Park Avenue (pictured right) before again moving to Spennymoor Town for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Hoops fans may be familiar with Ofusu, after he appeared for both Weymouth and Hungerford Town last season in the National League South.

Ofosu attempts to skip past City defender Tom Harrison for Weymouth.

Welcome to Oxford City, Claudio!
