REPORT Oxford City 2 Walton and Hersham 0
Young Hoops book a trip to QPR

Oxford City had another night to remember as goals from top scorer Kauan and sub Jack Green sent them through to the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup.
On a freezing night at the MGroup Stadium the young Hoops were full value for their win in a tough game in which the Walton and Hersham boys gave it their all.
The first half was frenetic and the visitors might have been ahead but blasted a golden opportunity over both bar and supporters bar, their best chance of the evening.
Otherwise City were in control and had the one moment of real quality in the opening 45 minutes when Brazilian sensation Kauan controlled the ball inside the box, showed his strength to roll his man and tucked the ball home to give his side a priceless 35th minute lead.
They defended that well with centre-halves Jacob Parker-Hunt and Even Took-Oxley in outstanding form and those in front working ferociously to deny the visitors any space to work in.
That meant a second half that perfectly suited the Hoops with few shots at either goal and a relatively easy night for Max Treml, penalty hero in the last round.
In the 81st minute there was a wonderful moment for youngster Green who strolled on to a Kauan cross to make it 2-0 with his first touch of the ball to book his team a trip to Loftis Road in Round 3.
There was still time for Ryan Danso to blaze an injury time penalty over the bar for the visitors but the City defence had worked hard for that clean sheet and have now kept four clean sheets in their five games in the competition so far.
A game to look forward to after another performance high on character and determination.
