Scout Report | DJ Campton-Sturridge

Samuel Collyer • June 12, 2025

Samuel Collyer gives us the inside track on City's new signing.

The club’s first new signing of the summer, DJ joins looking to add some fire power to the attacking ranks within the side

The centre forward was a prolific goal scorer in Aston Villa’s academy setup, DJ left the club in 2023, stepping into senior football with as short spell at Solihull Moors in the National League.

Spells at Alvechurch and Banbury followed, which led to him signing for Farsley Celtic at the start of last season.

He racked up four goals and assists in 20 games before moving to Hereford in January, where he finished the season off with a further 11 appearances.

What to expect

Campton-Sturridge is someone I would describe as a “live wire” of a striker. Mobile and always on his toes, looking to catch out opposition defences at every opportunity.

An eager forward, he is capable of carrying the ball forward and beating a man with his pace, and isn’t afraid to test the opposition goalkeeper at any miniature opening he may find.

A striker who is hungry to score goals, its a welcomed addition who can add some direct attacking threat to the forward line!
