Oxford City Women travel to Middlesex on Sunday afternoon to face Ashford Town Women's FC in the first qualifying round of the Women's FA Cup.
This is City's first competitive match of the season after concluding their pre-season with an impressive 4-3 win at home to Swindon a fortnight ago.
The two sides are in the same tier of the women's football league pyramid as Ashford compete in the London and South East Regional Women's Football League Premier Division which is in the same fifth tier as City's Southern Region Women's Football League Premier Division.
Ashford have already played one league game, beating Whyteleafe Women's FC 3-2 last weekend, and had to overcome Denham United Ladies 4-1 in a preliminary round of the Women's FA Cup to get to this stage.
The Hoops meanwhile got a bye which means they start their FA Cup campaign this weekend at the first qualifying round stage.
In order for Oxford to progress to the next stage, they will have to keep Ashford's centre-forward Lavana Neufville quiet after she scored a double in their 4-1 triumph in the previous round.
However, City do have a lethal forward of their own in Lauren May who will be hoping to continue her impressive form from pre-season after striking four times in the win against Swindon.
Kick-off is at 2pm on Sunday the 1st of September at the Robert Parker Stadium, TW19 7BH
