City Women Go Through in Adobe FA Cup
Women win 3-2 at Farnborough. Full time report

Oxford City Women claimed an excellent 3-2 win at Farnborough this afternoon as goals from Kate Parsons, Ellie White and Grace Craven saw them through in the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
City made a bright start with Lucy White missing a close chance after a brilliant cross from Georgine Tayman into the box. Both teams had a lot of half chances with the Hoops' danger coming from the right-hand side, with the link-up from Emily Harris and White creating a ton of chances during the first half.
City’s domination paid off with their first goal coming through Parsons as her long range strike caught the keeper off guard and floated into the back of the net.
Farnborough’s best chance of the half came from their number 11, Ellie Stalley, as her shot was blasted into the car park from just outside the six-yard box.
The second half kicked off with an early chance for the Hoops as White’s shot found Beth Bye’s gloves, not for the first time, but Farnborough levelled through Stalley when a loose bounce from a defensive mix-up gave her an open goal to aim at to make it 1-1.
City quickly responded at the other end almost instantly, as a mix-up in the Farnborough box gave them a penalty after a foul on White but the striker picked herself up only to put the spot kick wide of the post.
After the penalty, the game was wide open with plenty of chances for both teams but The Hoops regained the lead when White made up for the missed penalty with a clinical finish into the bottom right-hand corner.
City then made it 3-1 after a close range finish from Craven after a fantastic ball over the top from Amy Leach.
However in an end to end game Farnborough made it 3-2 soon after with another superb strike from Stalley to set up a grandstand finish where City held firm.
A fantastic win and Oxford City go into the hat for the next round...
