Darn well delighted! Johnson extends City stay.

Oxford City FC are delighted to announce that defender Darnell Johnson has agreed to put pen-to-paper on a new deal to stay at The MGroup Stadium.

The central defender played a big role in City’s season in the previous campaign, and showed he was effective in both boxes chipping in with three goals. 

The former Leicester City, Hibernian and Fleetwood Town defender becomes City’s sixth player from the 2025/26 season to commit their future to the club.

Ross Jenkins said: “I’m really happy to see Darnell return for next season.

“He’s proved on numerous occasions that he’s an important part of the team, using his leadership qualities, physicality and presence.

“We’re looking forward to working with Darnell and building on the positive results towards the back end of last season.”
