Dejan Tetek Signs For Oxford City FC

Dejan Vu! City add more quality to the squad.

Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of highly-rated midfielder Dejan Tetek from Aldershot Town.

The 23-year-old makes the move to Oxford, his hometown club, after a highly-successful spell with the Shots. A spell where he played a pivotal role in helping the club win the Isuzu FA Trophy at Wembley in 2025.

His two-years with Aldershot followed another successful stint with Reading, where the combative midfielder made 17 appearances in the Championship after breaking into the first-team picture with the Royals.

Despite his young age, Dejan has quite the CV. The 21-year-old was born in Oxford (a mere stone’s throw away from City’s MGroup Stadium in fact) but has Serbian roots.

He represented England at youth (U18) level, before switching his international allegiance to Serbia where he played in the country’s Under 19s & 21’s.

Upon signing back in his home city, Dejan said: “I’m really excited. I can see the club’s going in the right direction.

“Being a local boy, I’ve always kept tabs with Oxford City. I can’t wait to meet all the fans and get going.”

Ross Jenkins added: “Dejan is a player we’ve kept an eye on over the last few seasons. He’s a local lad who can dictate games in possession and make the team tick using his experiences in the National League with Aldershot and the Championship with Reading.

“I’m delighted to get Dejan on board this season as I feel he will connect and link with our retained boys extremely well.”

A combative midfielder who can play with both feet, Tetek burst onto the scene at Reading after progressing through the Royals’ academy.

He made his senior debut in Reading’s 1-0 defeat to Luton Town in the EFL Cup, before making his Championship debut against Watford where he came on as a substitute.

A number of appearances in English Football’s second tier followed before he made his full debut in a defeat against Norwich City, as Dejan quickly earned himself a reputation for one of the country's most exciting academy prospects.

However, after the expiration of his deal at Reading, he made the move to National League side Aldershot Town.

He made a strong impression during his first season with the Shots, before winning the Isuzu FA Trophy with the club in 2025.

However, upon departing Aldershot this summer, their loss is Oxford City’s gain and the Hoops bolster their midfield ranks with real quality.

Welcome to Oxford City, Dejan!
