Defender departs for Braintree Town.

Oxford City Football  Club can confirm that Lewis Miccio has joined National League South side Braintree Town on a permanent basis.

The defender joined the Hoops at the beginning of the 2022/23 season and played a big role in helping City win promotion to the National League for the first time in our history.

He made 51 appearances in the blue & white Hoops, going on to score one goal (an important strike against Worthing in our promotion campaign).

Lewis leaves with all of our best wishes and we'd like to place on record our thanks to Lewis for his efforts whilst with the club.

Manager Ross Jenkins said: "Lewis has been a real professional since joining last season.

"He was a big part of the squad that helped us win promotion last season and we wish him nothing but the best for the future."
