Read all about how our Youth players are developing

Oxford City is renowned for it's youth development.

Our Junior and Youth programme has nearly doubled since last season and we have multiple JPL sides at all age groups.

The Velocity programme has excelled with our U19 side competing in the Alliance National League and we have seen multiple players graduate from our youth set up into the first team, and in some cases move into the English Football League with sides like Middlesborough and Crewe Alexandra.

So it's time for an early season check in with our youth players on loan throughout the football pyramid.

Step 3

Banbury United

Kian Mirman was previously at the Maidenhead United academy and joined Banbury United at the beginning of the season on loan. Gaining valuable experience in Step 3 is crucial for the 17-year-old as he looks to break into the first team on his return at the conclusion of the season.

Step 4

Thame United

One of our exceptional young players is Tyrae Njogu. The young midfielder was at Ardley United last season on loan and even returned to The MGroup Stadium for the Oxfordshire Senior Cup Final against his current side Thame United. Tyrae scored a penalty on Saturday as Thame secured progression to the FA Trophy 2nd preliminary round.

Flackwell Heath

Charlie Bacon was sent out on loan to Flackwell Heath following last season's stint with Kidlington. The young winger trained with the City first team during pre season and was recalled by Manager Ross Jenkins for the away trip to Buxton on Saturday (6th Sept.) He impressed the Buckinghamshire-based side with a couple of top corner rockets.

Didcot Town

Caleb Moir, the young centre half joined Didcot Town on a season loan. The Velocity Football Academy defender spent time with the first team throughout pre-season and impressed, and now he'll head to the Loop Meadow to gain precious minutes in senior football.Last season, Caleb spent time with Ardley United in Step 5, and will now step up a division with Didcot.

Step 5

Easington Sports

Endri Stathi joined The Clan on loan after impressing for Clanfield 85 last season. It was only three years ago that Stathi was winning the U14s Players' Player of the Season award during City's Junior and Youth Awards day. Stathi also appeared for City's U19 side last season and scored in a thrilling game against Boreham Wood.

Kidlington

Kauan Bittencourt de Oliveira made two appearances for the first team last season and impressed during his campaign in the U19 National League squad. He has made waves in the Kidlington side, scoring a brace in his last outing and picking up the Man of the Match award for his contribution in the victory over Abingdon United.

Aydın Ulas is a versatile wide player, who can play at left or right back and move forward into a winger position as he has done for Kidlington this season. Ulas was also part of the pre season squad for Oxford City and returned to Kidlington for another season on loan with the local side.
