City continue their season preparations with journey to Gloucester.
Oxford City travel to Gloucester as they face the Step 3 side for their fourth game in pre season. The game will kick off at 7:30pm, Tuesday 22nd.
City's dominant 5-2 win over a young, energetic Charlton Athletic XI will give the side confidence that they are moving in the right direction as the season begins to creep up on the Hoops.
Oxford CityManager Ross Jenkins was pleased with their performance and he said: "I think it has started to gel, the boys are getting used to each other and there was some really good passages of play in there."
Tuesday's fixture with Gloucester will pose different challenges, as the Hoops have a lengthy bus journey ahead of them prior to kick off, much more akin to the schedule of the Enterprise National League North.

ONE TO WATCH - Harry Pinchard
Pinchard came through the Academy at Cardiff City and earned international recognition while he was there, playing for Wales U19 and U20s.
In 2021, Pinchard signed for Hereford, moving into senior football in the National League North. Over two seasons, he made around 60+ league appearances and scored three goals, becoming a standout performer for the Bulls.
On 2 June 2023, Pinchard joined Gloucester City on a two‑year contract, following coach Yan Klukowski, who had initially been at Cardiff and Hereford.
In the 2023/24 season, Pinchard made around 45 appearances and scored three goals, including his first against former club Hereford on Boxing Day earning plaudits from manager Mike Cook for the quality of the strike and his playmaking.
THE MANAGER - Daf Williams
Williams has returned to Gloucester for the upcoming season as Manager after being appointed at the end of last season.
Williams has left his role as Assistant Manager at Newport County after taking over for the last few games of the season as caretaker manager.
Williams was previously at Gloucester during the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons as assistant to Lee Mansell.
