City reel in another big fish!

Oxford City are delighted to announce the signing of talented midfielder Scott Pollock following his season in the National League with Brackley Town.

The 25-year-old played an important role at his former club during their National League North title winning season, and was a stalwart for the club in the middle of the park in the National League. 

The attacking midfielder joins an illustrious list of signings for Ross Jenkins' side after Tyrone Marsh, fellow Saints teammate Jonny Maxted, Evan Humphries and Dejan Tetek all penned deals with The Hoops over the summer. 

This will be the midfielder’s third season in the National League North having featured previously with Brackley Town and Boston United.

An attacking midfielder who can also play out on the left, Pollock's rise through the footballing pyramid has been slightly unconventional. 

He began his career at Northampton Town as a 14-year-old, before winning the nationwide academy programme run by Hashtag United in 2017.

He subsequently won the EE Wembley Cup Man of the Match award and was rewarded with a trial at Premier League side Crystal Palace. 

The following year, he returned to Northampton Town on a two-year deal with The Cobblers and made his professional debut against Cambridge City in Sky Bet League Two. 

In February 2022, Boston United acquired his services on loan, and a successful spell with the Pilgrims followed which led to a permanent move. 

Moreover, he paid them back handsomely, contributing 14 goals in his 27 games during the 2022/23 season going on to finish as the club’s top goalscorer.

He was then snapped up by Yeovil Town for an undisclosed fee in March 2023 however his time at the Glovers was limited by injury and he left Huish Park in April 2024.

From there, it was two seasons at Brackley Town where he played a pivotal role as The Saints topped the table in his first season and moved into the National League.
