Tyrone Marsh agrees to join Oxford City
City Ty Marsh down to contract
Oxford City FC are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms with striker Tyrone Marsh ahead of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North season.
Marsh, who began his career after progressing through Oxford United’s academy, finished the 2025/26 season as one of the league’s top scorers, netting 27 goals for Bedford Town and earning a space in ENLN’s Team of the Season.
Now, Marsh returns to Oxford after a stellar season to bolster the Hoops’ forward ranks ahead of an exciting new campaign.
After signing, Marsh said:
“I’m buzzing to be here and I just can’t wait to get started.
“Every season, you have to begin with big ambitions, and I want to help push for the play-offs at a minimum. I’ve had some good seasons in the past, and I want to have another good season here.
“I feel like it’s going to be a great season. There’s real ambition here, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Manager Ross Jenkins added:
“I’m delighted to have Marshy on board after the brilliant season he’s had.
“He’s a senior player who will fit into the group nicely while adding work rate and quality in the forward areas.
“Marshy comes in with a wealth of experience, and I’m sure he’ll hit the ground running.”
After progressing through the academy ranks at Oxford United, Marsh went on to make seven appearances for the Yellows while also spending time on loan at Aylesbury, Staines Town and Welling United.
Moves to Ebbsfleet United, Torquay United and Dover Athletic (along with a second loan spell at Welling) followed before he really made a name for himself in Macclesfield Town’s National League title-winning side in 2017.
Marsh became a pivotal part of the Silkmen squad that defied the odds to win promotion back to the EFL, and he even scored the first goal in the club’s title-clinching victory away at Eastleigh.
Another year in the EFL followed before he returned to non-league football with Boreham Wood, where his stock continued to rise.
Fifteen goals for the Wood in 2019/20 were not quite enough to secure promotion for the London-based side, as they were beaten by eventual winners Harrogate Town in the play-off semi-finals, before the attacker returned to the EFL with Stevenage.
A return to Meadow Park followed in February 2021 for an undisclosed fee, and from there Marsh established himself as a club legend at Boreham Wood, playing a starring role in helping the team reach the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Marsh went on to make over 200 appearances for the north London side before leaving on a high in 2025 after securing promotion from National League South.
From there, a move to Bedford Town followed, and once again Marsh proved his worth.
A haul of 27 goals in all competitions last season not only helped the Eagles secure their Step 2 status against the odds, but also saw Marsh firmly establish himself among the league’s leading scorers throughout the campaign.
His red-hot form also earned him a place in Team of the Season for 2025/26.
Welcome to Oxford City, Tyrone.
