Velocity Under 19s Girls Win League Title
City's Under 19s academy side crowned champions.
Oxford City's Velocity Under 19s Girls' squad have been crowned champions of the Tactic League W1 Division Velocity Women's.
The team managed by Connor Walton (also Oxford City 1st Team Manager), and headed up by our Head of Femal football Aliyah Anthony, finished the season with just one defeat, winning the division by a margin of three points.
In fact, the team went on a stunning five-match winning streak to stay clear of eventual runners up Procision Oxford Girls.
As part of the Velocity Education Programme, the team represents Oxford City FC in the Tactic League and the squad includes a number of first team & development team players.
Emily Harris, Keira Maskell and, in previous years, Billie Bough-French and Bailee Laitmer, have all progressed to become first team regulars in our Women's First Team from the programme.
Manager Connor Walton said: "It's a superb achievement for the girls."
"The whole squad has worked hard this season, and they've got their just rewards from a hard-fought campaign.
"The season finished particularly well with an unbeaten streak and I'm so happy for all the players.
"It's great to have the opportunity to coach the players on a daily basis, and it gives me a chance to see them a lot more.
"That's meant that we've been able to give the players chances in our first team and development teams this season too.
"They all have bright futures ahead of them."
