Pre Season nears completion for Hoops.
Oxford City Women continue their pre season preparations for the Southern Region Women's Football League with a trip to Frampton Rangers (Sunday 2 pm kick off).
City are coming off the back of a loss to Luton Town Ladies. The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story, as The Hoops took the lead before succumbing to the quality of a higher opposition.
Manager Lyon Theoharous was buoyed by the battling performance. "Each game means more understanding and people learning abuot the players around them and this was a really good test against a storing Luton team so there were plenty of positives for us to take away and work on" he said.
Frampton Rangers finished a respectable 5th in their league last season but were highly dependent on the crucial goals from Shannon Francis.
With only two games remaining in the pre season for City, they will be looking to find match fitness and gelling as a group so they can hit the ground running come the season starting.

ONE TO WATCH - Shannon Francis
Francis is the key goal threat for Frampton Rangers and was one of the most prolific strikers in the Shield Services Group South West Regional Womens Football League after bagging 21 goals in just 20 league appearances.
She netted four times in the 7-4 win over Sherborne Town. In another standout performance, she scored a brace in the 3-1 win over AEK Boco. Even in Frampton's 2-1 defeat to Torquay United, Francis’s goal pulled her level with Torquay’s Lucy Solloway as the league’s joint top scorer.
Oxford City will need to focus on neutralising Francis and limiting the balls into her as she can score from anywhere.
