City adding more talent to the squad

Oxford City Women are delighted to announce that young forward Yasmin Edwards has agreed to remain at The MGroup Stadium for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Edwards was an incredibly bright talent for The Hoops last season, building an impressive goal resume throughout the season.

Currently part of Oxford City's Velocity Football programme, Yasmin has a bright future and is a testament to the quality of players coming through the Velocity system at The MGroup Stadium.

Yasmin finished last season with 18 goals in 21 league appearances and played a pivotal role in the cup competitions. She was outstanding throughout the historic FA Cup run and scored some incredible goals during the Oxfordshire Women's Cup.

Yasmin told us: "I'm so pleased to be back for another season. With Aliyah in charge it was a really easy decision.

"I really enjoy my football here and I'm super excited for the season to start and push as high up the league as we can."

Women's First Team Manager, Aliyah Anthony said: "Yas was magic last season and having her in the group again was a no-brainer.

"I'm really excited to see her progress and succeed in the upcoming season. The sky is the limit with how much potential she has."
